What We Store

  • Account email addresses, for users who register.
  • Account and project data you create, such as usernames, repositories, issues, comments, SSH keys, and related settings.
  • Anonymized access logs, used to keep the service running and understand basic traffic patterns.

The service runs on a Hetzner virtual machine. Apart from the hosting provider, we do not share personal data with third-party analytics or advertising services.

Why We Store This

Account and project data is processed so RubHub can provide accounts, git hosting, repository pages, issues, comments, SSH access, and related service features. Access logs are processed to operate the service, investigate errors, and prevent abuse.

What We Do Not Store

We do not use tracking pixels, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics. We do not intentionally store full IP addresses in access logs.

Cookies

RubHub uses cookies only for login sessions. These cookies are needed to keep you signed in and are not used for advertising or cross-site tracking.

Emails

If you register, your email address is stored with your account. It may be used for account-related purposes, such as login, recovery, or important service notices. It is not sold or used for marketing lists.

Retention and Deletion

Account and project data is kept while your account or repository exists. You can delete your account and repositories using the site itself. If that does not work for any reason, contact the site operator from the account email address and ask for deletion. Public git data may also exist in copies cloned by other users, which RubHub cannot delete.

Access logs are kept only as long as needed for operation, debugging, and abuse prevention.

Your Rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data. You can also object to processing or request restriction of processing where the law allows it. To make a request, contact the site operator at bennyschulenburg@gmx.de.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.

Abuse

Do not use RubHub to publish illegal content, malware, phishing, spam, or content that infringes the rights of others. Accounts or repositories used for abuse may be disabled or removed.

Changes

This policy may be updated as RubHub changes. The current version is the one published on this site.
